Do Your Research
There are way too many online portals these days. Go through a few before you decide on which lehenga you want to buy.
Know the Measurements
Don’t just blindly click on S/M/L sizes. Make sure you know the exact measurements of each size before selecting one. Compare with your body measurements like chest, height, waist, etc. and choose accordingly.
Know the Difference
Check which colour best suits your skin tone, what style of drape will suit your body type and which design will enhance your overall look. Oh, also don’t miss out on the most important piece of clothing – the blouse.
A lot of sites may have the same or similar designs. Once you shortlist, check if the same/similar products are available for a lesser price on any other portal.
Since bridal wear doesn’t come cheap, find out what is the best payment method available while shopping for a lehenga online. Decide whether you want to go for online payment or cash-on-delivery. Some websites let you try on the attire and then pay for it. Also check for discounts!
Shipping, Cancellation and Refund Policy
Before making a purchase, read all the shipping, cancellation and return policies. It’s best to start your hunt at least 2-3 months in advance while buying a lehenga/saree online. If it arrives and you don’t like it, you have time to send it back and look for another one. Ensure you know how quick the refund is; you don’t want to wait for years to get your money back.
You may already know of Murad and Nataly Osmann’s #FollowMeTo series.
Well, if you don’t:
Murad Osmann is a Russian photographer who takes breath-taking pictures of his wife Nataly Osmann. But what makes them so brilliantly unique is how they’re shot. The entire #FollowMeTo project features images of Nataly leading Murad (who is behind the camera and not in the frame) to the most beautiful locations around the world. From the streets of Florence, to deserts in Dubai to the forts of Jaipur, they all show Nataly’s extended hand holding onto Murad’s, leading him to a gorgeous location.
They even took a trip to India and captured some awesome pictures in Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur, Varanasi, Hampi and lots more places!
Taj Mahal, Agra
Jama Masjid, New Delhi
Blue City – Jodhpur

Especially in all your wedding-worthy glory! Some Indian couples have already started getting them clicked by their wedding photographer.
Here are a few Indian #FollowMeTo pictures that we absolutely love. Check them out:

Plush Affairs, headed by Apoorv and Sanyogita is a new age photography company that has a strong focus on creativity and innovation. They come up with artistic themes that beautifully describe their clients and do justice to their story.
Apoorv and Sanyogita of Plush Affairs helped Pooja and Sushant plan their pre-wedding shoot just like they had imagined.
The couple knew each other through family and did their graduation together in Pune. They shortlisted Mumbai for their shoot since they have spent a lot of time in Mumbai and wanted to capture the old-world charm of the city. The shoot was primarily shot in South Bombay so as to capture the essence of the historic buildings established in the British era.
Locations like the Gateway of India and the Asiatic Society never fail to impress. They beautifully capture the grandeur of the city which is often lost in the hustle and bustle of the commercial hub.
Apoorv and Sanyogita of Plush Affairs managed to capture the splendour of these locations wonderfully in this pre wedding shoot.

Love knows no boundaries – this wedding of Pranay and Vrinda is a tale of two nations. It would be difficult to believe that people can fall in love with conversations but that’s what happened with this crazy couple. They came close while pouring their hearts out to each other and the rest was history – 9 months of courtship period and then soul mates for life. Dressed in a Sabyasachi Lehenga, Vrinda looked stunning while our pardesi babu, Pranay looked nothing less than royalty in beige sherwani.
