Ravi & Neha Goa : Gorgeous beach wedding in Goa, Planet Hollywood

Love stories that start by spotting a girl across the dance floor, are our favoritre kind of stories. Ravi and Neha's wedding story in Planet Hollywood, Goa, started the same way. Spotting Neha across the room at his cousin's party, Ravi was immediately floored. Problem was, how do you take her number? Borrowing her phone to place a call, Ravi slipped in his number and texted her three days later. Neha likes to say that the rest is history!

History or not, this couple's warmth and understanding and adventurous love has now culminated in a beautiful beach wedding with beautiful and quirky decor. In fact, it's not just the decor that was customised to the couple. The bride's mama stepped up the game by designing her entire wedding wardrobe! Using off beat colors and silhouettes, this was a game changer. Check out all the photos below!

We are sure all of you have daydreamed about your over-the-top romantic honeymoon, although it’s something most brides put till the very last minute. Something that you procrastinators don’t realize is, how stressed you’re going just be because if you don’t plan ahead!

If you pack too much, your luggage will weigh you down and if you pack too little, you’ll end up regretting leaving it behind or buying what you didn’t pack. The solution? Follow our ultimate checklist of the things you cannot miss to pack in your honeymoon trousseau:

The Must-Haves:

  • Flight tickets (Printed or e-ticket, either might do, so take whatever calms your nerves).
  • Passport, visas, driver’s license.
  • Credit/Debit cards (only the ones you’ll need. We repeat, only the ones you need).

  • Hotel/Event confirmations (the ones not available electronically).

  • Phone numbers, of your doctor, pet sitter and bank (in case your cards are lost or stolen).

  • Prescription medicines.

  • Birth control (don’t shy away now).

  • ID tags for luggage (inside and out).

  • Camera (one other than your phone).

Your luggage must-haves:

Your honeymoon packing essentials will hugely depend on where you are headed for your honeymoon. If you’re headed to a colder destination, half of your luggage will include trench coats, leather jackets and everything related to winter layering. Similarly, if you are packing for a tropical resort, you might not need as much luggage as you think. We mean, how much space will your itty bitty bikinis and sundresses take?

Although here’s something you should totally pack irrespective of the destination to which you are headed:

  • A special dinner outfit for the first night.

  • Special lingerie to surprise your spouse (preferably one for every night if you want to make him REALLY happy).

  • Perfume and bath gel that you wore for your wedding. It’s said special scents help establish really wonderful memories.

  • A music playlist of your favorite tunes as a couple and a portable speaker you take to the beach or wherever.

  • Kindle or reading material (if you are still old school).

  • A pair jeans or leggings (for the times you wanna be comfortable).

  • A light jacket or pullover (probably one that can be tied around the waist or stuffed in a backpack).

  • A little black dress (don’t ever underestimate the numerous times you’ll find it handy).

  • Some casual shirts, tees or tops(the totally stunning ones that look nonchalantly casual).

  • A pair of shorts.

  • Bikinis (For the beach or a hot jacuzzi or um, other places).

  • A sarong (to cover-up the swimsuit).

  • A pair of sneakers (you cannot wear heels all the time, and what if you suddenly plan hiking?).

  • A pair of evening shoes or sandals.

  • An evening purse or clutch.

  • Extra socks.

  • Accessories (scarves, hats, and jewelry to add variety to a limited wardrobe).

Your beauty must-haves:

  • Sunscreen and lip balm.

  • Lotions (hand and body).

  • Shampoos and conditioners.

  • Foundation (or whatever base you apply).

  • Lipsticks or lip glosses (whichever is your thing).

  • Kohl pencil or eyeliner.

  • Makeup remover.

  • Cotton balls and swabs.

  • Comb and/or brush.

Things to go in your cabin bag:

So that you don’t spend cash buying it somewhere else:

  • Sunglasses.

  • A hat or a baseball cap.

  • Band-Aids.

  • Tampons and/or pads (they can be hard to find when outside and are a non-negotiable must-have when you need them, although we really hope you don’t).

  • Canvas tote bag for beach or pool (also good for carrying souvenirs home).

  • Chargers for all your gadgets.

  • Insect repellent (and anti-itch cream for the bugs that have a tendency to break through).

To leave with your friends and family:

Well, all of these combine a list of things you need to pack in, here’s a small list to leave behind with your family and friends before you take off on your honeymoon.

  • Your itinerary and hotel phone numbers.

  • Photocopies of your passport and credit cards.

We hope this list will keep all your packing worries at bay because a marriage is a lot of work but packing for a honeymoon shouldn’t be!

Virushka Wedding: Inside Virat Kohli And Anushka Sharma’s Star-Studded Mumbai Reception!

December 2017 has officially been #Virushka’s month and the duo are still breaking the internet with their wedding pictures and videos. After taking their wows in a private ceremony in Tuscany, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma took off on their mini-moon only to return back and kick start their bigger celebrations.

After hosting their first reception in Delhi on December 21, the newly-weds hosted their second and final reception at St.Regis, Mumbai, last night. They did not shy away from all the pomp and show at the event, which also boasted a star-studded guest list.

#Virushka’s look:

They say “save the best for the last” and Anushka’s final look for her extended wedding celebration totally agrees. Sharma chose to opt for a dramatic, vintage, gold lehenga by Sabyasachi (obviously). The lehenga comprised of a noodle strap blouse, embellished lehenga skirt and a shimmery dupatta belted to the skirt.

Anushka completed her look with a necklace and earrings from the Sabyasachi Fine Jewelry collection, minimal makeup and side swept curls.

This is what the designer had to say about her look, “For her Mumbai reception, Anushka wanted to wear old-world glamour. And we decided to ‘Jazz’ it up in smoky grey. Award winning master craftsmen from Lucknow rendered her stunning dupatta which was clinched on the waist with our ‘Bengal tiger’ belt. Anushka’s look was accessorised with a necklace and earrings handcrafted with rose cut diamonds, solitaires and briolettes from the Sabyasachi Fine Jewelry collection”.

P.S. We can’t take our eyes off how Anushka has paired her traditional red choodas with the lehenga. *so cute*

On the other hand, Virat’s look comprised of a navy bandhgala in velvet by Raghavendra Rathore, complementing Anushka’s look all the way.

Spotted at the reception were the sports-meets-Bollywood couple’s friends from both the worlds, including:

Wedding Hangover Tips You Wish You Knew Before Drinking

Forgot to keep a tab on the number of drinks you had while dancing? Woke up to a horrendous headache and nausea? Well, you are hungover. Hangover makes one swear never to touch alcohol but all of us know how  `short lived those promises are. We have 10 tips that will cure your hangover!

1. Water

How many times has your mother run behind you with a stick for not drinking enough water? Well, listen to her, because mothers are always right! Keep yourself hydrated even between those drinks. If at all you forget doing that, drink plenty of water in the morning to flush out those toxins.

2. Bananas

A great man once said ‘bananas are a bachelor’s best friend.’ This great man was none other than Biswa Kalyan Rath. Bananas have a high potassium content which can bring back your energy and also help to activate your muscles. Learn from our ascendants and nibble on those bananas!

3. Ginger Tea

Ah! Who doesn’t like adrak wali chai? We Indians drink ginger tea at least 3 times a day. Sip some hot adrak wali chai to ease that nausea and stomach ache. It tastes heavenly too!

4. Tomato Juice

Tomato juice doesn’t sound pretty, but trust us, it is very effective. The juice can break down and metabolize the alcohol in  your blood three times faster than water can. Add some lemon drops and honey in the juice if you don’t like the taste of tomato juice.

Some warm tomato soup sounds just as good!

5. Honey

Pooh the bear’s favourite snack, honey is actually good for you. A spoonful of honey twice or thrice a day will break down the alcohol due to its high fructose content.

6. Toast

A favourite on-the-go breakfast of many millennials, toast can be helpful when you are suffering from a hangover. The carbohydrates will increase your sugar level, thus pumping some energy in your body. It is recommended for people with low blood sugar.

7. Exercise

Get out of that bed and get going! Exercise will activate your muscles and rejuvenate you. It may not cure your hangover completely but coupled with other tips, it will counteract any side effects of alcohol and even act as a catalyst in the process of getting over a hangover.

8. No coffee

Contrary to the popular belief, coffee is not the answer to your headaches. Alcohol dehydrates your body and consuming coffee will just dehydrate you more. Avoid coffee if you want a faster recovery.

9. Greasy Food

Keep on eating those pizzas, cheeseballs, burgers, basically whatever greasy comes your way while you are drinking those cocktails! Food will slow down the consumption of alcohol. The longer it will take for the alcohol to reach your bloodstream, the longer it will take for you to get intoxicated. Don’t feel guilty, just indulge!

10. Warm Bath

A warm shower will refresh you and also help to drain out the toxins. Warm water will calm your nerves and it will help you to function smoothly.

Are you tempted to get drunk and hungover again to try one of these tips?

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Revealed Their Official Engagement Photos And We Can’t Control Our Excitement!

Queen Elizabeth’s 33-year-old grandson, Prince Harry, fifth-in-line to the throne, and Megan Markle, the beauty-with-brains from US TV legal drama Suits, have again left the internet aghast! After announcing their engagement last month, they have now released their official engagement pictures, the latest milestone on the road to their wedding next year.

The pictures are shot by Alex Lubomirski, a day after the pair joined the Queen and the rest of the royal family for Christmas lunch at the Buckingham Palace.

The pictures consist of a black and white portrait of the couple embracing face-to-face, along with a picture of them cuddling together holding hands!

The black and white image of the smiling couple was shot in the grounds of the house and shows Megan in a white sweater holding the prince’s face *notice her oh-so-beautiful engagement ring*

Harry designed the engagement ring in a way that it features a diamond from Botswana accompanied by two smaller diamonds from Diana’s jewelry collection, which the Prince said he wanted to include “to make sure she’s with us on this crazy journey together.” The other one has the couple sitting hand in hand on the steps of Frogmore. Prince Harry is dressed in a blue suit while Ms Markle is wearing a black and gold embroidered dress by British luxury fashion house Ralph and Russo.

Kensington Palace later released a third photo “as a way to say thank you” for all the “warm and generous” messages the couple had received.

Prince Harry and American actress Ms Markle confirmed their engagement in November and last week announced the service would take place on 19 May. New York-based photographer Mr Lubomirski was a former assistant to Mario Testino, who created some of the most famous images of Prince Harry’s mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.

He said: “It was an incredible honour to be asked to document this wonderful event, but also a great privilege to be invited to share and be a witness to this young couple’s love for one another. I cannot help but smile when I look at the photos that we took of them, such was their happiness together.”

The relaxed appearance of Prince Harry and Megan contrasts with the official engagement photos of his late mother Diana, Princess of Wales, and his father Prince Charles, taken outside Buckingham Palace in February 1981.

Now only time can tell, how the American actress will take her role as the British royalty!
