Here’s What Our Favourite Bollywood Celebs Wore To The Cannes Festival 2017. #WeddingFashionInspiration

We’re all aware of The Cannes Film Festival and our beautiful Bollywood celebs rocking the red carpet each year. It’s that time of the year again and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
From Ash to DP to Sonam, each one of these ladies who represent L’oreal at The 70th Cannes Festival looked just about drop-dead gorgeous as they walked the famed red carpet.

Deepika Padukone

Deepika opened for L’oreal, walking the carpet on the first day of the Cannes festival. She turned heads in a deep-purple sheer gown by Marchesa paired with De Grisogono jewellery and Jimmy Choo heels. Her hair was styled in casual, beachy waves.

Deepika Padukone

Her Day 2 look was a complete contrast to the first as she chose to wear a bottle green gown by Brandon Maxwell with a sexy thigh-high slit that complimented her frame. She accessorised with diamonds by De Grisogono and Chloe Gosselin footwear. Her hair was styled in a classy high updo. What was equally as stunning as the gown was her statement green smokey eyeshadow.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

The second star to represent L’oreal was Aishwarya. She first made her appearance at the festival on Day 3 in a pale blue princessy ball gown by Filipino designer Michael Cinco that would’ve made both Cinderella and Elsa jealous. She paired it with footwear by Salvatore Ferragamo and jewellery by Boucheron. Her hair was left loose in a sleek mid-parting.

Her look for Day 4 stole the spotlight too, as she broke the unwritten red-carpet rules and wore red-on-red.  But nobody really gave her any shade for wearing red on the red carpet because she looked super-stunning and pulled it off beautifully. She chose an off-shoulder gown with a corset-fitted bodice and a magnitude of ruffles that ended in a train.

Sonam Kapoor

Day 5 had Sonam Kapoor, our 3rd L’oreal brand ambassador show up in a soft pink Elie Saab dress that was delicate and dramatic all at the same time. The deep and wide boat neck, and the figure-hugging silhouette of the front accentuated her curves while the flared back fell like a graceful waterfall. She accessorized with jewellery by Kalyan Jewellers.

On Day 6 of the Cannes Festival, Sonam graced us with her sparkly presence in another Elie Saab work of art. The golden gown had a plunging neckline and a sleek gold belt that cinched the waist. The look was complimented with gold eye make-up, nude lips and a single Chopard ring.

Apart these three stunning brand ambassadors of L’oreal we also saw a few other stars on the red carpet.

Shruti Haasan

Shruti, who attended the festival for her film Sangamithra, made her debut on the Cannes red carpet in an edgy, black Avaro Figlio number which she paired golden Louboutins and light make-up.
Her second appearance on the carpet was in another black outfit; this one being an Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla saree that she paired with a gold blouse with 3D floral motifs. Golden studs by Anomaly and a black-and-gold ring by Misho designs were her accessories. Winged eyeliner and soft lips completed her look.

Amy Jackson:

Amy attended the Cannes Festival 2017 representing her movie ‘Boogie Man’. Her first look was a Georges Hobeika gown with a pair of earrings and a sleek, neat bun.

Amy Jackson:

Her last appearance had her looking stunning in a white Versace piece with well-placed slits. Her black heels by Aquazzura and silver Swarovski clutch, along with a bright red lip wrapped up her look perfectly.

Mallika Sherawat

This red-carpet regular attended the Cannes festival in a muted-peach off-shoulder gown by Georges Hobeika with floral surface ornamentation. Her make-up by Dior was highlighted with a pop of cherry lipstick. Jewellery by Messika completed the outfit.

Jai & Parul Delhi : Beautiful Hindu Wedding With A Golden Charm and a Complimenting Sparkling Lehenga

From childhood buddies to lifetime soul-mates – Parul and Jai’s love story is straight out of a romantic Bollywood movie. They met in school and marked the purity of that day by choosing the premises of the same as their venue for their D-Day. Designer Parul, could not have relied on any other individual to justify the appearance of the cynosure of all eyes. Influenced by the support of the two most important men in her life – Jai and her father – she designed her wedding outfits, all by herself. Giving a miss to the patent colours of wedding, her wine coloured lehenga in mulberry silk was beautifully handcrafted with zari, bead and sequin work. Swarovski crystals, dabka and naksi added to the intricate detailing of the wedding attire. The subdued shade of Jai’s sherwani, in beige, perfectly complemented the bold and gorgeous lehenga, worn by Parul. Filled with warmth and love, their wedding day saw many happy faces blessing the couple and also tearful eyes, overwhelmed with emotions. The venue was magnificently lit with candles, string lights and lanterns and this added much warmth to the ambience and left the guests awestruck.

10 Foods You Must Avoid Before The Wedding. #LehengaWorthyWaist #SayNoToBloating

1. Any Beans

No surprise here, everyone knows that beans cause gas and bloating. So avoid that plate of rajma chawal and go for lean proteins like chicken or fish.

2. Milk or any Dairy Products

Yes, this includes cheese. Dairy contains an enzyme called lactase which is difficult to break down, and digestion causes gas and bloating. It could upset your stomach.
Plus, milk does nothing to improve your skin. Basically, milk contains a hormone called IGF-1 which helps the growth of baby cows as well as your acne. It also causes your skin to produce more oil which leads to the clogging of pores and a bacteria build-up.
Yoghurt is perfectly fine to have though, since the fermentation kills the hormone. And you could always have soy milk or almond milk.

2. Milk or any Dairy Products

3. Carbonated Beverages

Again, obvious. Soda, fizzy drinks etc. are a strict no-no. Also includes beer, champagne and the sorts. Fizzy drinks contain gas which cause expansion around the stomach-area.

4. Caffeine

Avoid any caffeine – coffee / tea / red bull / etc. It reduces the amount of water in the body, causing dehydration. It can also make your body acidic, which can puff up your belly.  If you REALLY need your daily dose, try to limit the amount.

4. Caffeine

5. Salty Stuff

Salt contains sodium. Sodium causes the body to retain water. Retaining water causes bloating. ‘Nuff said.

5. Salty Stuff

6. Cruciferous Vegetables

We’re talking about vegetables like cauliflower, broccoli, sprouts, kale, etc. They make you bloat since they’re loaded with cellulose, a type of fiber which our stomach struggles to break down. Try vegetables like cucumber/ lettuce/ lady’s finger instead.

7. Chewing Gum

Switch to a mint for fresher breath because apart from having bloat-inducing sugar products, chewing gum makes you swallow air more often, which goes straight to your tummy and causes bloating.

7. Chewing Gum

8. Red Wine

Duh. Avoid pre-wedding drinking because who wants to wake up hungover on their wedding day. But even apart from this, you really should avoid red wine because it contains unfermented yeast, which bloats you up like crazy. Wait until after the wedding to grab that glass of wine. (Also avoid beer because beer-belly is a thing.)

9. Fake Sweeteners

Mainly present in sugar-free products. You may think this is a good idea, but not really since they contain aspartame which causes bloating as it’s super-hard to digest. So no, your diet coke doesn’t really help your diet.

9. Fake Sweeteners

10. Starchy Foods

Pasta / White Rice / Potatoes and even bread. If you do want to eat this stuff, try brown rice or brown bread instead. Eliminate all gluten.

11. Dried Fruits

You may think that these are perfect to snack on every now and then, but they are packed with fructose, a kind of sugar that causes water retention and gas, which obviously leads to bloating.

This way you won’t forget things at the last minute; and can add in anything if you do remember sometime in those 2 weeks.

2. Carry a foldable tote bag in your suitcase.
You will probably be doing some shopping on your trip. You can put all that stuff in the tote without worrying about if there’s enough space.

3. Photocopies of important documents.
Make multiple photocopies of your passport / ID / credit card / etc. Always have one copy of each on you.

4. Pack half your luggage in his bag and vice versa.
JUST IN CASE one of your bags doesn’t make it to the destination, you’ll always have some stuff with you.

5. Provide your family with your trip details.
Give them your, itinerary, contact, hotel information and other such details. They may need it in case of an emergency.

6. Label your luggage.
Always put name tags or clearly label them. It’s good to use a creative or personalised label so no one can mistake it for their own.

7. Carry plastic/ziplock bags.
These come in handy to store toiletries or dirty clothes in an organised way.

8. Pre-charge your gadgets.
Pre-charge all your important gadgets like phones, power bank, portable wifi, etc. In this tech-savvy world, you will probably need every percent of charge!

9. Pack basic meds in your carry-on bag.
Always have some basic meds on you: stuff like a headache tablet/ nausea relief/ cold or cough relief / etc.

 10. No new shoes.
Avoid packing new shoes at all costs. You don’t want your feet hurting or covered in shoe bites from walking around in those new stilettos.  Pack stuff you’re already comfortable wearing.
