Karan & Natasha Mumbai : Tasteful Gujrati Wedding held at Thackers, Girgaum

“We don't need to think alike to love alike” – Ferenc David

As different as chalk and cheese, Karan and Natasha realized their love for each other over a movie date where neither of them watched the movie! Bitten by the love bug, there was no going back for the two of them. They had a four day long Mumbai wedding spread accross ITC Grand Central, NSCI and many more locations. Full of naach-gaana, inspirational decor and gorgoeus outfits – their wedding had that destination wedding feel, even though it was based in mumbai. Talking Pictures by Hitesh shot this wedding brilliantly for this stunning couple to hold close forever.

The Mehndi

The celebrations began at the terrace top Mehndi ceremony held at NSCI, Mumbai which was full of color and pretty décor elements. Fuchsia and orange hues drapes with crystal chivari’s graced the sparkly white mosaic floor beautifully. Each table centerpiece had a crystal flask adorned with Marigold flowers and gladioli or ethnic rajasthani dolls with colorful pinwheels – all in all it was a bright beautiful day time affair!

The Sangeet

Held at the opulent ITC Grand Central, their sangeet was chic, contemporary and classy. Dressed in a navy blue and orange lehenga embellished with resham embroidery, sequins, and zardozi, Natasha was an absolute stunner! Karan too looked his dapper best in a burgundy velvet sherwani. What caught our attention at this Sangeet was their stage backdrop – they didn’t go for a LED screen or drapes and flowers but opted to have a blush pink rose texted floral wall instead – a shift in design that we so adore!

The Cocktail

The grooms outfit at the cocktail completely stole the show! Karan’s outfit was young, fresh yet classy. He wore a polka dotted blazer with a textured grey shirt styled and bow-tie – we are liking this change from the classic black tux! Natasha looked ravishing in a flowy cocktail gown, stitched in a regal hue of grey – perfect for an intimate, classy evening affair.

The Wedding

With each passing pre-wedding function, the grandiosity factor seemed to just level up, and we were sure that the final wedding day would leave a lasting impact on us. Natasha entered Thackers Banquet, Girgaum dressed in a classic red wedding lehenga embellished with floral gold sequined motifs, she looked like a quintessential Indian bride. While her double draped dupatta and polki studded wedding jewellery only added bouts of prettiness that made her overall look even more perfect. To complement his gorgeous bride, Karan wore a gold and white textured sherwani – together these two looked like true royalty!

Kunal & Neha Pune : Simplistic Green Destination Wedding held at Malhar Machi, Pune

As much as we love the shor-shaaraba of Big Fat Indian Weddings, green weddings such as Neha and Kunal’s seem to leave a lasting impact on us. The use of clear blue skies as a backdrop, simple yet stunning outfits and minimal décor elements that brought freshness to the wedding. We love that Neha and Kunal took the no-stress process, where confusion between chivari and folding wooden chairs, and lilac and lavender didn’t cause tiffs, but all that energy was directed on the love. (couple photo, pre-wedding)

This two-day destination wedding was held in the clean, green abode of Malhar Machi, Pune where this couple took their Saat Pheras. It was a typical Puneri Maharashtrian wedding with a total strength of eighty people only – talk about changing the Indian wedding scene!  We adore the closeness and intimacy of Neha, Kunal and their families, it definitely made this marriage celebration all the more special.

The first of this intimate two-day wedding affair began with the Haldi ceremony for the couple. Neha looked beautiful in an orange and red banarsee silk saree with a gold woven border, styled with a simple updo pretty-d up with Rajnigandha flowers. Kunal, went au-naturale, of course and was quite literally drenched in the holy yellow paste – which made for excellent photographs. Ace photographer Navdeep Soni shot beautiful moments from this wedding with excellent taste and an eye for detail that no one else could have seen. He used Neha and Kunal’s free time on the first day for a quick pre-wedding shoot, which was almost effortless as this beautiful couple were such naturals in front of the camera.

The wedding was made up of all things elegant and minimal. Orange Marigold flowers arranged in a Swastik formation, yellow and orange flower petals laden on the grass and red roses handed out to all the women – it was a freshness filled affair. Neha made an elegant bride dressed in a maroon and green nauvaari saree adorned with a gold woven border and orange shaalu with simple gold jewellery and minimal bridal makeup, while Kunal wore a white silk kurta and red dhoti – we lovelove the color coordination of this couple.

After the wedding was over, Navdeep snuck them away for some beautiful photographs at picturesque locations around Malhar Machi, Pune. Among grand hilltops, blooming flowers and old vintage clocks, he brought a timeless, simple feel to the post-wedding shoot pictures.

What we especially loved about this simplistic destination wedding was how the entire wedding party that consisted of eighty people were all color-coordinated in hues of maroon, white and gold. It brought a feeling of unison and looked oh-so-gorgeous altogether. Check out the family group photos with the grandies too – absolute sweetness!

#SummerWeddingSeries –Popsicles Make a Super Cool Entry into Wedding Menus

A super cool entrant into summer wedding menus is the Popsicle! Known by a variety of other names, such as ice pop, freeze pop, ice block, chihiro and ice lolly, these flavoured liquid frozen sticks are becoming quite a hit among couples and wedding attendees. Whether it’s an indoor or outdoor wedding you intend to host, these delicious popsicles are going to be a literal lip-smacking addition to your wedding menu.

Adding an extra element of fun to these popsicles are the alcoholic flavours in which they’re served. Perfect addition to a bar counter table? We thought so too!

Oh wait, that’s not all. Also spotted at wedding scenes are fruit and flower ice cubes (edible, of course), a cool way to fancy up your drinks and beat the heat biting into a fruit ice cube. Sounds fun, isn’t it?

Embrace yourself for a visual treat and do try these, if not for your wedding then bridal shower, bachelor/bachelorette party or even a birthday party. You get the drill, right?!

Sajal & Sanskriti Goa : Super Colorful Wedding held at Grand Hyatt, Goa

Sanskriti and Sajal’s super pretty Goa wedding with all its color and million bouts of happiness is sure to bring a smile to your face. This three day long naach-gaana packed wedding was held at the Grand Hyatt, Goa, which started with an uber colorful beach-front party with the BEST activities that engaged their guests in the most fun way. They hosted a “Rally Championship” with mini remote control cars and sumo-wrestling competition complete with the bodysuits – It was a happiness riot that afternoon! The bride-to-be was in a gorgeous aqua blue lehenga with a fully embroidered pink blouse, while Sajal went all summer-casual in white trousers, a blue printed shirt and matching blazer.

The next day brought with it the sangeet ceremony, full of heart-pumping music, pro-level performances and some gorgeous outfits that are sure to inspire. While we were sure that Sanskriti is sure to stun in her pink mirror work lehenga, but the pretty-pretty outfits worn by the auntyji’s for their dance number surely left us aww-ing! Shot by Photobooth9, who captured this wedding with sheer brilliance. Perfectly getting those sweet candid moments, the tiny details and the unmatched fun of it all!

P.S – Special shout out to their destination pre-wedding shoot, held in the historic city of Jaipur – definitely trendsetting, we think!

Abhishek & Akruti Pune : Big Fat Marwari Wedding with Extravagant Decor Details

Abhishek and Akruti’s Big Fat Indian Wedding was all things magnificent, and then some.Believe us when we say that each photo out of this album will leave your jaw dropped right to the floor. A ten daylong celebration that ran across two cities and some celebration up in the air too 😉 From a Moulin Rouge Themed Kumkum to a private jet hired for the baarat and all the bold-blingy details at the reception, this wedding hit all the right notes in the making of this supremely extravagant wedding affair shot brilliantly by Robin Saini Photography.

Kumkum

The grandiosity began with the Moulin Rouge themed Kumkum ceremony held for the groom, Abhishek at The Corinthians Resort, Pune. Set in a regal theme of red and gold where each element was matched to the theme, right from chairs to table covers, to stage décor and centerpieces too. Gold hued napoleon chairs were paired with tables covered in deep red. Creative red rose centerpieces set on each table, upped the glam factor at the ceremony by a ton. A mixture of crystals along with baby’s breath and fresh green ferns gave these centerpieces a feel of the unusual and looked oh-so-pretty too! The classy Moulin Rouge themed photobooth of sorts was set up complete with the jazzy lights, velvet cushioned thrones and pictures of the couple hug graciously for a personalized feel. Professional dancers along with ace playback singer Anu Malik bringing in that Bollywood feel to this classy pre-wedding ceremony.

Boys’ Sangeet

Next rolled in the Boys’ side sangeet ceremony held at Yash Lawns, Pune set in hues of lemon yellow and greenwith décor that will make you say “I want that at my wedding!” for real. Pearl string canopy adorned with pretty purple orchids, gold chivaris with gorgeous gold tissue tie backs and the larger-than-life structure with white petal pastings – we could just go on and on! Dressed in a pink and navy blue jamewar silk sherwani, Abhishek looked an uber stylish groom-to-be. And when it was time for him to perform with his boys? The level of ‘cool’ only seemed to level up with this dapper groom. Baarat Heads To Indore Okay, here’s the part that will leave you stunned. The well-known Khinvasara (grooms) family hired a private jet to take all their baaratis to Indore for the wedding. What made this flight 8373 times more special were the personalized Khinvasara family logo on the airplane seat headrest covers – talk about setting the bar high! #PunIntended.

Girls’ Sangeet

It is a fact known far and wide that the naach-gaana at Indian weddings never ceases, and Abhishek and Akruti followed suit with sangeet # 2! This was a more intimate affair held indoors with minimal décor and loads of lights. The bride-to-be, Akruti looked ravishing in a pretty peach and pink anarkali lehenga with gorgeous diamond jewellery. The Shaadi FRESH – was the only word we could think of when we saw Abhishek and Akruti’s outdoor wedding set up. Bright yellow was a perfect choice of color for a December winter wedding like theirs. The freshness factor was visible in Akruti’s bold kalidar lehenga also – the hues of aqua with the red brought about an unconventional touch to the traditional bridal lehenga. Abhishek too sported his best look in a peach and gold embroidered designer sherwani with customized jooti’s which completely stole our hearts!

Grand Pune Reception

The final lap of this 10 day wedding celebration ended with the grand wedding reception held at Amanora Park, Pune. As we spotted a distinct color scheme through every wedding ceremony, we were sure that the Khinvasaras left the best for last. Gorgeous shades of lavender and lilac were used along with regal silvers and crystals to create a reception party oozing with splendor. The resplendency began at the walkway entrance which was strung with birdcages, wooden embroidered hoops, and beautiful glass lamps. A floral wall was Abhishek and Akruti’s stage backdrop which brought back all the memories from the KimKanye wedding, with double the prettiness! Although yellow-lit lamps and lounge areas were our favorite elements, the beautiful brides opulent gold lehenga definitely stole the show!

Abishek & Neetu Kerala : Tasteful Destination Wedding Ceremony held at The Leela Kovalam, Kerala

When we say destination wedding, we immediately think – Goa, Jaipur, Udaipur! But this stunning couple thought a little out of the box, going all the way down south to host their wedding at The Leela, Kovalam. Perched on a cliff with a clear view of the deep blue sea, it lent a romantic vibe to Neetu and Abhishek’s wedding celebrations.

Ace wedding photographer Navdeep Soni shot this tasteful wedding with utmost precision and style, right from the pre-wedding shoot up until the dance-filled reception. Before any of the celebratory events could begin, he took this duo out to the beach front and near the infinity pool to capture some sweet photographs moments before their big day.

We love how each ceremony had a distinct theme set to it. The Mehndi was all-out traditional with jhoolas and marigold laden décor – bright yellows and pinks dominated, while the Sangeet was oh-so-chic and classy. Held indoors, it was oozing with elegance. The gorgeous bride-to-be was dressed in a shimmery sky blue and silver lehenga while the dapper Abhishek donned a stunning black damask textured sherwani. After loads of dancing, drinking and performances by friends of the couple and professional bharatnatayam dancers, the next day brought with it their tasteful wedding.

Neetu opted to go for minimal yet elegant décor, letting the venue and view be the highlight of it all. An all-white and red mandap with gorgeous accents of gold. She wore a pretty pink lehenga embellished with embroidered motifs, sequins, and beads. Abhishek complimented her brilliantly in his gold and white sherwani. While the nuptials were set in a traditional tone, the reception was chic and contemporary with all its elements of glam. Set up by the beach, Neetu amd Abhishek went for a classy outfits. The beautiful bride wore a strapless white wedding gown while the groom donned a classic carbon black tux. What we adore about their reception décor was the sole use of fairy lights and globe lanterns – definitely a good twist from the usual flower décor.
